A Season Of Learning

Each series of my paintings reflect a season of learning. This collection grew from inspiration planted by Charles Bello’s book “Prayer as a Place, Spirituality that Transforms.” Growing up in a family of believers, my life has been filled with a hungry pursuit of the Lord through church, prayer, fellowship, Bible study, and the like. Though at times it became habitual. It became ordinary.

So when Charles’ book introduced to me an innovative way to commune with the Heavenly Father, I was open and ready.

Resting in God

“Prayer as a Place” outlines a path to contemplative prayer.This is a place of intimacy where God drives the conversation. I don’t have to perform. I don’t have to work. I just relax and rest in a bit of scripture. Then in the quiet I listen for the voice of God.

Just Be

My prayer as you view these paintings is that your heart will open to the warmth, peace, and rest of the Heavenly Father. In that moment of discovery just be in His presence then...pause and reflect.
